CROYDON SKYLINE 2000/1 It was that time of year again and the GEMS NFX team found themselves working with the CROYDON SKYLINE select. The approach this year was to be as creative as possible with a very cost effective plan. Braving the weather, we roamed around Croydon looking for potential sites whilst dodging the trams and generally fighting the cold weather, which seemed to be dropping in temperature a little too quickly for our liking. After numerous brain storms the two sites were chosen and had, compared to some of the options, great potential. ............NORTH END ...............................................................NORFOLK HOUSE
As you can see, we had to some great surfaces to project onto for a change and new that the images we were going to project, in relation to the power of the projectors we were using was never going to be an issue.
With the equipment safely negotiated across the streets of Croydon and no flightcases going down as MIA, we quickly got to work with programming and power and lets face it, the more interesting stuff.
As you can see, the results were quite impressive and we found many a bystander being entertained by the whole proceedings. A very big THANKYOU has to go to Andy Sells and Richard Thorne along with the rest of the Croydon Skyline team, for giving us this opportunity again in helping them with their end of year plans. Many thanks to Simon ' Leave that dexion racking to me ' Livingstone and John ' You don't want to let him touch that ' Kay from Windmill Studios along with Simon ' I will program those macs for ya.!
