Having worked at the Atlantis Club an impressed the staff, we found Andy asking us back to help First Leisure and himself celebrate the clubs first years anniversary party.
Despite being a well lit area, the front of the building found itself changing colour with the use of our city colours.
This left the inside of the club to be illuminated and animated with a variety of different equipment at our disposal.
With a multitude of effects such as diffraction mirrors, variable rotators, various mirror balls, 30' x 20' Shark Tooth Gauze and the rigs scans, we were able to come up with some impressive images and effects for the audience.
Throughout the evening, the team were in good humor, despite the long hours and constantly being asked for music requests and the ability to make announcements on the PA.
I might just take this moment to point out that people have a far better chance of asking the guys in the DJ booth, who were quite clearly seen holding the microphone and were lucky enough to have some turntables and CD players to play their music on. The odds were quite clearly stacked against us and we failed to oblige a fair few happy clubbers, bemused as to why we could not carry out their simple request.
Good to see that the hard stuff was needed for a lengthy session, in the shape of Mc Donald's milkshakes and DR Pepper.
Nice to see a fellow camera man ' John Moore ' in the thick of the action.
It was also encouraging to be getting the right signals from the DJ booth, I emphasize the DJ Booth for the point made earlier. What was a little worrying was the fact that, Ashley was merely confirming what he was about to do....
Yes, I'm afraid so.... A stage reveal of a different nature and one we do not recommend to the kids at home. Also a word in Ashley's ear, because several clubbers felt that he had a few peep holes that might not be so obvious to Ashley.
